The Children’s Home at Don Bosco Namakkal is at the heart of our mission of care and accompaniment. It provides a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children who come from vulnerable backgrounds, especially children of parents affected by HIV/AIDS and others facing social, economic, or family hardships. For many of these children, the home becomes more than a place of shelter; it becomes a place of belonging, security, and renewed hope.

We are committed to ensuring that every child entrusted to our care grows in an atmosphere of dignity, love, and responsibility. The home seeks to respond not only to the immediate need for protection and shelter, but also to the deeper needs of emotional well-being, education, discipline, personal growth, and future readiness. Each child is accompanied with attention and care so that he can gradually rediscover confidence, stability, and the joy of growing in a supportive community.

Life in the Children’s Home is centred on holistic development. Along with food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare, special importance is given to education, regular study, personal guidance, value formation, recreation, and opportunities to develop talents and interests. The home is meant to be a place where children can live in peace, study with focus, form healthy relationships, and prepare themselves for a meaningful future.

The Children’s Home also recognises that every child carries a unique story. Many come with experiences of loss, exclusion, insecurity, or struggle. Our effort is to create an environment where healing can begin, trust can be rebuilt, and the child can experience acceptance and encouragement. Through consistent care and accompaniment, the home seeks to help each child move from vulnerability towards resilience, growth, and hope.

At Don Bosco Namakkal, the Children’s Home is not simply a residential facility. It is a caring community that stands with children in their journey, helping them grow into confident, responsible, and hopeful young persons.
