Don Bosco Namakkal is a centre of care, education, and community outreach committed to the well-being and development of children, youth, and families in vulnerable situations. Inspired by the vision of Don Bosco, we strive to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where every person is treated with dignity and encouraged to grow with confidence and hope.
Our mission began with a special concern for children affected by the social stigma surrounding HIV. Many of these children came from backgrounds marked by loss, exclusion, poverty, and instability. Don Bosco Namakkal became a place where they could find shelter, acceptance, education, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Over time, this mission has expanded to serve a wider range of needs within the community.
Today, our work includes a Children’s Home, educational support, Child Resource Centres, evening study centres, youth study initiatives, social outreach, skill training, and community-based accompaniment. Through these efforts, we seek to respond not only to immediate needs but also to the deeper need for dignity, belonging, growth, and opportunity.
At Don Bosco Namakkal, we believe that care must be holistic. It must include protection, education, guidance, emotional support, and the encouragement to dream of a better future. Our mission is to accompany children and communities with compassion and responsibility, helping them move towards greater confidence, stability, and hope.
